Where should i go on vacation this month?

So i am 19 years old and on winter break (male) and my dad and maybe my brother (20 years old) are planning to go on a trip late this month. (Around the 17th or so). My dad asked me where i want to go but the problem is i cant think of any places that seem exciting to me? I used to LOVE planning trips as a kid but not i just seem having trouble finding anyplace exciting. Maybe its b/c I live in Los Angeles so i basically live in a vacation spot but i want to do something exciting. I dont really want to visit somewhere and visit some historic garden or walk to a famous place but id rather do something fun like rafting or ATV or something that is particular to that location. We are trying to spend around 4 nights and want to keep it under $2000 and in the USA or Mexico. We were thinking about a carnival cruise to Ensenada and i have already been to Miami, Denver, and Hawaii. We dont care if it is cold b/c we live in a warm place 365 days a year anyway. Just want something fun!!! So if you have been anywhere or have any ideas, please help! Thanks
