Is animal euthanasia ok coming from a Christian perspective?

Well Sara B. I truly believe God looks at animal euthanasia as an act of being a good Samaritan on the humans part, which is not murder but really done out of love for the animal. I'm also going to add this part to my answer just so people know what God's thoughts are on humans having pets. God is warning us in Leviticus chapter 11 not only to stay away from the "unclean" land animals, birds, insects, amphibians, reptiles, rodents, rabbits and water creatures as food products for disease prevention reasons but to stay away from them period for disease prevention reasons that we have not figured out yet. So God really doesn't want us to have animals such as the dog for a pet in the first place for disease prevention reasons to keep us humans healthy.
