What are your views on being a christian and what church to go to?

I just became a new christian and my parents are telling me to go to there church which a embly of god ... I was made to go to church when i was a little girl at this church and now they are telling me that these are the churches you want to go to cause they are the only one's that preach and go by the whole bible . they said that methodist , Lutheran etc only teach half the bible and live worldly . im just really confused of what church i should go to and what bible to study since everyone is telling me different things. like abortion is shunned against and so are s and gays but i feel different and im not republican im democrat. what is the right answer . please no fighting on here im not gay im married to my wonderful husband and have a little girl but i don't see why christians say that you can't be a christian if you are gay or even support gays. I just think it's crazy cause god says he loves everyone and wants everyone to be a christian. sorry for the long story just kinda confused
