Are nightsweats a sign of infection?

I have had night sweats to the point of my shirt getting wet as well as my pillow cases....My doctor said it could be due to my Anxiety ...but im not sure. They did bloodwork on me as well as a urine culture ..they said my work didnt show any sign of infection. SO im confused. HELP me please.. i hate sweating.I was giving something for my anxiety and its gone so i dont think it was my Axniety...help me out please
