Girls: how do I apologize for this?

Kay, so I was driving my girlfriend Kelsey home from school (she lives right down the street) and I put in this new CD I had just bought (Rick Ross Teflon Don) and she wanted to put her iPod on instead, so I said OK just hold on a second because there's a process you have to go through to eject CD s. Right so anyway she's like "dude I know how to eject a CD" and I was like "seriously hold up one second" and she hit the eject on which only slid the CD out halfway and she pulled it out the rest of the way and it snapped in half. I completely flipped out. I was like "why do you treat my stuff like its garbage" and as soon as I said it I was sorry. she started crying and I felt sick, she didn't talk to me the whole way home and this was two hours ago. What should I do?
